How to add a video as a desktop background in windows 7

This works on windows 7 and I don't know whether it will work for windows XP. But why dont you give it a try and let me know? ;) Well this is how it works

  1. download the setup by clicking here.
  2. right click on the file and run the program as administrator. If you don't do it you won't be able to run the program.
  3. Click on enable dreamscene. If you want to disable this feature later you can run the program just like the way you did that before and click disable dreamscene.
Now basically you have installed the feature. If you right click on the desktop you will see a new option "play dreamscene" but you can't click it if a video is not set as a desktop. You can just try it by right clicking on a mpg or wmv file there you will see"set as desktop background" option and click on it.

As you set a video as a wallpaper you will see that you cant clearly see the desktop items. This is how you fix it

On desktop click personalize->desktop background.
You will see two images set as your wall paper and one is hidden.click properties on that hidden icon and uncheck the hidden button. That should do it :)
